Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to support a critical
early childhood data integration project. This role blends
traditional business analysis responsibilities with user experience
(UX) design to ensure system functionality is not only efficient
but intuitive and accessible for all users. The ideal candidate
will guide the design and delivery of technical solutions, acting
as a liaison between product owners, end users, and development
teams.
This position requires someone who can manage requirements
throughout the full software development life cycle (SDLC), with
strong experience in wireframing, user stories, and accessibility
compliance. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to
ensure solutions meet stakeholder needs and align with industry
best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
---Gather and document clear, actionable system requirements from
stakeholder interviews.
---Develop detailed user stories, use cases, and process flows to
guide development.
---Create and refine wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that
support an optimal user experience.
---Ensure design recommendations adhere to federal accessibility
standards.
---Collaborate across product, technical, and business teams
throughout the SDLC.
---Support post-implementation enhancement planning and
verification.
---Contribute to ongoing improvements in internal business
processes.
Required Experience/Skills
---8+ years' experience eliciting and documenting technical and
business requirements.
---8+ years' experience working within structured software
development life cycles.
---8+ years' experience in business process re-engineering and
software flow improvement.
---8+ years' experience developing user stories and use cases per
BA best practices.
---8+ years' experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that
follow UX principles.
---5+ years' strong communication and facilitation skills.
---5+ years' organizational and writing proficiency.
---4+ years' experience with Figma or comparable design tools.
---3+ years' experience ensuring accessibility compliance in
designs/websites.
Nice-to-Haves
---Experience with Modern Requirements and Atlassian Jira.
---Experience working with education agencies or early childhood
programs.
Pay & Benefits Summary
---Pay rate range: $75-80/hr on W2
---Hybrid work setup: on-site in Austin, TX with up to 80% remote
