This is a first shift position.

As a Pilot Plant Technician you will:
Conduct tests, analyzing data, and documenting results based on samples built on the fiber termination equipment and loss testing.
Document, update, submit product standards, specifications and test methods within company systems
Assemble new types of fiber optic connectors using detailed work procedures
Test the optical performance of new types of optical fiber connectors
Work with other technicians and optical engineers to efficiently make and test connector samples for experimental investigations.

Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

The ideal candidate will have:
High School diploma/GED
One (1) year of experience working in laboratory or pilot line setting
Able to pay attention to detail and follow detailed written work procedures.
Able to work with hands to assemble small parts.
Able to work on site daily from 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm initially transitioning to 3pm to 11pm as demand increases
Able to utilize Microsoft Excel for data input, formatting & analysis

Pay Rate: $29.77 per hour
