Job Overview:In Arm's Central Technology group we are building
trail-blazing future technology which will keep Arm-based products
redefining the state-of-the-art. We are looking for a hardworking
Senior Principal Display Architect to join us as part of the
CT-Systems Multimedia and Applied Computer Vision Team. This team
is responsible for multimedia and vision oriented algorithm design,
technology research, as well as next-gen Arm Multimedia Subsystem
Architecture for mobile, large screen compute and other market

- You will be part of Multimedia System Architecture team, giving
you the opportunity to develop and make a relevant contribution
into Arm Compute Subsystems.
- The role will give you also outstanding opportunity to interact
with world class specialists, architects and researchers, both
inside and outside Arm.
- You will propose and lead evolution of display processing
algorithms and pipelines, by working closely with the algorithm and
hardware architecture team.
- As Senior Principal Display Architect, with algorithms focus,
you are asked for deep understanding and proven experience working
with commercial and advanced display processing pipelines.
- You will contribute to Arm Multimedia Subsystem architecture
definition by leading algorithm design of next-generation scaling,
colour management, HDR processing and display adaptation parts of
the display processor.
- Also, you will have opportunity to represent Arm in various
display expert groups.Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in algorithm design, and image quality
evaluation of display processing algorithms (scaling, colour
management, tone mapping, SDR/HDR composition, HDR video
processing, display adaptation) in the context of IP, or SoC
architecture.
- Strong analytical thinking approach and problem solving
skills.
- Experience in debugging and resolving image quality artefacts
by proposing algorithm evolution.
- Hands-on approach and ability to work with various models and
software development environments, as well as ability to prototype
and evaluate new algorithms by yourself.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, be able to collaborate with
multiple teams under ambitious schedules, with a focus on delivery
of high-quality results.'Nice to Have' Skills and Experience:
- Experience in leveraging AI/ML methods in the domain of image
and display processing is a strong plus.
- Experience working with HW video codecs and video processing,
as well as camera processing.
- Understanding of PPA constraints of hardware realisations of
complex multimedia pipelines.
- Experience in best HW-SW partitioning of advanced multimedia
use cases mapped into Multimedia Subsystem hardware, and/or
computational pipelines running on the CPU, GPU, NPU.
- Good understanding of various display technologies - OLED,
microLED, AR/VR displays.
- Knowledge of Android and Windows media/graphics software stacks
