Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Prepared Foods Cook to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our food preparation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and presentation of our prepared foods.Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets and recipes.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food levels and replenish in a timely manner to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 6-12 months retail experience preferred.
  • Skills: Thorough product knowledge, ability to follow a recipe, good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques, good basic math skills, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Working Conditions
    • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a wet and dry environment.
    • Equipment: Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.Whole Foods Market is an equal opportunity employer.
