Job Summary:The Bakery Department Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Bakery Team at Whole Foods Market. This dynamic individual will assist with scheduling and supervision of Team Members, maintaining compelling bakery, coffee, and juice displays, and supporting the Bakery Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Delegation: Supervises and delegates tasks to Bakery Team Members, fostering a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
• Training and Development: Works with the Bakery Trainer to train Team Members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Department Maintenance: Ensures all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated.
• Customer Service: Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
• Performance Management: Provides timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations, and consistently communicates and models WFM vision and goals.Requirements:
  • Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of Bakery team procedures and policies, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills, and proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in wet and dry conditions.
