Job Description:

Coverage Needed:

• December 2, 2024 - ongoing
• Must be willing to work a 7 on 7 off schedule
• On-site, call coverage, weekends, nights - nights 7p-7a on site entire shift
• Nocturnists only Clinical Details:
  • Number of bed: Between 100-700 depending on site
  • Census:
    • Smaller hospital: 10 admits with cross cover of current inpatient census 70 patients (physician is taking home call to field admit calls and forwards to APP on site to see)
    • Bigger hospital: major responsibility is cross cover floor/icu calls for inpatient census, and helping with 3-4 admits
    • Support Staff:
      • Smaller hospitals: physician on call at home
      • Bigger hospitals: physician on site
      • Will round in the ICU, open ICU Required:
        • DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
        • Current Flu Vaccine
        • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
          • Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
          • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in ABIM OR FM
          • Active TX License
          • Has to be a PA or Acute Care NP
          • Must be willing to work a 7 on 7 off schedule
          • Preferred experience, will take new grads at certain sites
