Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Specialist at Christus Health is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing expert nursing care and leadership in a dynamic clinical environment. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients, families, and communities, utilizing evidence-based practice and critical thinking skills.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and education programs to enhance patient care and staff development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, reduce errors, and enhance the overall quality of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data analysis, benchmarking, and process improvement projects.
• Lead and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to promote professional growth and development.Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment or compact.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on leadership and education.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Work ScheduleVaries, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.Work TypePart-time, with opportunities for full-time and per-diem positions.
