We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.What You Will Do In Your Role:
  • You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
    • You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
      • You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities
        • You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team
          • You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursingWhat qualifications you will need:
            • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program
            • Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
            • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
            • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification and ACLSOur Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) is a 35 bed cardiovascular stepdown unit.
              • We specialize in advanced heart failure, heart transplants, specialized cardiac surgeries such as TAVRs, and LVAD patients. We work very closely with CVICU because our patient population goes back and forth between us and CVICU.
              • The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4
              • What sets us apart from other progressive care or cardiac units is that we have a very specialized cardiac population. If you enjoy complex cardiac cases that involve IV cardiac drips and critical thinking this is the unit. We have an amazing team with many years of experience.
