Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular ICU (Pediatric) Job Specialty: Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years with at least 18 months in Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: - Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience Job Description: - Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU and a 12-bed overflow unit - Manage patients with congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and ventricular assist devices - Provide care for neonatal through young adult patients; occasionally manage adult congenital heart defect patients - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status, and 1:3 for step-down/non-ICU overflow unit - Utilize certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certification as applicable
