Why work at EnovisAs a key member of the Packaging Engineering Team you will play an integral part in helping Enovis drive the medical technology industry forward through transforming patient care and creating better patient outcomes.Job Title:Product Engineer 2, PackagingReports To:Manager, Product EngineeringLocation:Austin, TXBusiness Unit Description:Enovis SurgicalJob Title/High Level Position Summary: The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for design and development of orthopedic implant and instrument packaging per ISO 11607, ASTM and ISTA standards.Key Responsibilities:

• Supports various packaging projects including writing protocols and reports, conducting feasibility, packaging integrity and performance testing
• Identifies packaging needs for implants and instruments
• Confers with cross-functional team to identify tasks and requirements (Product Development, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Marketing, Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs)
• Develops detailed packaging engineering drawings (3d CAD) and release through Design Change system.
• Creates labeling for implants and instruments
• Updates packaging procedures and work instructions
• Attends cross-functional meetingsMinimum Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Must be experienced in MS Word, Excel and Project.
  • Experience with 3D CAD packages (SolidWorks preferred)Travel Requirements:
    • Desired Characteristics:
      • Previous experience in a regulated environment, Aerospace, Medical Technology, Pharmaceutical
      • Working knowledge and requirements of ISO 13485, ISO 11607 ASTM and ISTA StandardsCurrently, Enovis does not provide sponsorship for employment visas (e.g., H-1B) and will not offer such sponsorship in the future.
